Weather casuing havoc at Flushing Meadows

Andy Murray and Rafael Nadal voiced their disapproval today after they were among the first players sent out to play in damp conditions at the US Open.

Tuesday’s entire schedule was lost to rain but after a ninety minute delay on Wednesday play finally began, only for a halt to be called after just 16 minutes.

Britain’s Andy Murray said of the conditions “It’s dangerous, the lines get really slippy”
