Robin Parker talks about his award winning image

Barclays celebrated 20 years of passion, drama and excitement in the Premier League with an exhibition presenting some of the League’s most iconic moments captured on film. The photography was taken from the Barclays Photographer of the 20 Seasons awards and Barclays Shot of the 20 Seasons photographer Robin Parker.

In this video Owen Hargreaves and Alan Curbishley give their thoughts on the imagery from the exhibition and we catch up with the competition’s winners and judge Hamish Brown

Robin Parker wins Barclays Shot of the 20 Seasons award

Fotosports International photographer Robin Parker wins the very prestigious Barclays Shot of the 20 Seasons award with the picture below of Wayne Rooney scoring a spectacular overhead kick against their Manchester rivals at Old Trafford last year.

Robin commented “For my photo to be chosen as the best shot in the history of the League is very humbling, and something I will cherish for the rest of my career.
“It was an iconic moment, and one that was seen all over the world, so to capture it in the way that I did was extremely satisfying.”

Santos looks set for a spell on the sidelines

Arsenal defender Andre Santos could be “out for a while” according to manager Arsene Wenger after he picked up an ankle injury in his team’s Champions League match with Olympiacos yesterday.
The Brazilian sustained the injury during the second half of Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat to the Greek side, with Wenger stating after the match that Santos was set to miss Saturday’s clash against Everton and possibly much longer.

The FA is reviewing a hand gesture made by Luis Suarez as he left the pitch after Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Fulham at Craven Cottage on Monday.
